Project: “Making the labor market work for vulnerable groups!” – No. 2

This project is an extension/continuation of the project with the same title implemented in three previous phases during the period 01/04/2014 – 30-09/2021 in cooperation with two PVTC’s of Tirana.

The implementation of the current phase during the period 01/10/2021 – 30/09/2024 aims to:

Scale the model implemented during the previous phases of this project in the two PVTC’s of Tirana, into the other PVTC’s of Albania (Durres, Vlore, Elbasan, Shkoder, Korce, Fier, Gjirokaster).

To contribute in the creation of a stable social partners network in Durres, Vlore, Elbasan, Shkoder, Korce, Fier, Gjirokaster, in the framework of strengthening the synergy between the demand for qualified workforce from the business community with workforce provided by public vocational training.

To initiate joint action plans with the involvement of all actors to promote their interest and to strengthen the network between them in the framework of including people in socio-economic difficulties in the labor market.

To influence in the increase of institutional capacities in terms of the quality of services and teaching of 8 PVTC’s (Tirana No. 4, Durres, Vlore, Elbasan, Shkoder, Korce, Fier, Gjirokaster) by equipping these PVTC’s with new technological equipments such as computers, printers, video projectors, laptops, etc.

To invest in the opening of 2 vocational courses in areas not covered by public vocational training centers.

To inform and share the experience with the staff of the PVTC’s of Durres, Vlore, Elbasan, Shkoder, Korce, Fier and Gjirokaster in “Public relations/communication and networking” and “Assistance/orientation for professional practices and employment”.

Main Goal: Integration into the labor market of people in socio-economic difficulties.

Objective 1: People in socio-economic difficulties are employed and integrated in a sustainable, formal labor market.

Objective 2: PVTC’s throughout Albania are able to better support the integration of vulnerable groups in the labor market.

Main activities:

  1. Support for the labor market integration of people in social-economic difficulties;
  2. Strengthening and expanding the existing social partners network in Tirana;
  3. Labor market survey;
  4. Assistance/orientation for professional practices and employment of certified trainees;
  5. Establishment of social partners network in Durres, Elbasan, Korce, Fier, Vlore, Gjirokaster and Shkoder;
  6. Investment for the opening of two new vocational courses in areas not covered by public professional training centers.
