1.Initiative – “Give what you can!”
The first activity of Dev- Aid, was a voluntary initiative on October 2013, with the slogan “Give what You Can!” This initiative has come up like an appeal of basic needs for clothes and food from people living in the streets, facing every day with the unemployment and extreme poverty. According to this activity, we have worked to raise awareness for the community toward voluntarism and philanthropy through awareness campaign and information sharing. All this was accompanied with a donation ceremony in one of the social centers of Tirana that assists mostly Roma community.
2.Initiative – “Teach our children to donate 1!”
At the occasion of the 1st of June, International Children’s Day, “Dev-Aid” undertook its second initiative “Teach our children to donate!” in order to give the opportunity to all children and parents to become part of a donation initiative. In this framework, from June 1st, 2014 up to June 3rd, 2014, Dev-Aid was part of the children’s fair organized from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the pedestrian street of Tirana, promoting children’s rights and distributing information, animator games and collecting boxes from children to other children in need. The stand of Dev-Aid was awarded from the organizers as the most attended stand of this fair and the one that created the best social impact.
3.Initiative – “Teach our children to donate 2 !”
After this three days campaign, Dev-Aid in collaboration with the Office of Defense Cooperation – US Embassy Tirana organized the delivery ceremony of the donations in the “Development Center for Persons with Disabilities” in Shkodra.
4.Initiative : “A different day in the Eldery House!”
Thanks to the work and dedication of the trainees of the cooking course of RDPVT , it was a different day in the Public Eldery House. The trainees prepared a cocktail as their last professional test for the elderly, and the elderly persons’ residents in the centre after testing the meals, delivered for the trainees the course’s certificates. This was a new symbolic way of involving both trainees and elderly people on evaluating the skills gained during the course attendance.
5.Initiative : “A different day in the women’s prison!”
DEV-AID took part and played an active role in all the activities organized in the occasion of 16 days against the violence against women (November – December 2014). On this occasion, DEV-AID organized the campaign “A different day in the women’s prison”. Most of the women in this prison are previously abused and violated from the respective partner and are condoned because they killed the person that abused them. In this regards DEV-AID choose to be with them for one day long, sharing peaceful messages, promote women’s rights, providing useful information how to recognize those rights and defend them. This coincided also with the opening of two mobile professional courses that will be held in the prison, in order the women to be prepared to enter in the labor market after leaving this institution.
6.Initiative : “A different day in the Orphanage!”
Educational & animated seminar, with the theme ‘Internet and communication technology. Positive and negative impacts and how internet does affect the everyday life of our children.
7.Initiative : “Celebrating with Roma comunity”
In the framework of the project “Make the labor market work for vulnerable groups!”, DEV-AID organization in cooperation with SHKEJ organisation, ARSIS organisation and the Regional Directorate of Public Vocational Training , were at the residence of Roma in Shkoza. DEV- AID organized a meeting with the Roma community in the area of Shkoza to sensitize young people and inform them about professional courses that are held in Public Vocational Training Centers in Tirana. This activity had the main aim of entertaining children of this community through a social entertainment program, selected by DEV-AID and implemented by the trainees of social assistance course of RDPVT . In this context, the organizations collaborating in this event, had the opportunity to give to the community families a festive meal for the holiday season.

8. Initiative: “1 Package 2 Hands”.
On February 2015, DEV-AID undertook the voluntary initiative called “1 Package 2 Hands”. This initiative was to help and assist the communities of the flooded aria in the south Albania. This communities loosed everything due to heavy rain and flood. DEV-AID contributed with the delivery of packages containing meals and clothes.
9.Initiative – “Give what you can!”/2
“Give what you can!”/2 initiative, has already become a tradition for DEV-AID Organization. The collected donations, this time go to the beneficiaries of SHKEJ (Shoqata Kombetare Edukim per Jeten) as well as for the QTE (Qendra Tranzitore e Emergjencave) community.
